It has often been stated that the company one keeps says much about who a person
is. One key component that attracted Christie and me to SABC was the partnerships the school enjoyed. These partnerships are the foundation that keeps the
work in Southern Africa strong and moving forward. They are long lasting,
built on years of experience, and maintained through continuous prayer and con-
tact.
The first partnerships that impressed us were those with congregations. SABC has
enjoyed the steadfast support of several congregations for over 40 years.
The Church in Southern Africa would not be as strong as it is today without these
partners. Many congregations have joined in the last few years and can say they
are part of growing the Kingdom in Southern Africa. Please see our listing of sup-
porting congregations in this newsletter and thank God for their faith.
The second partnerships that appealed to us were those with individuals throughout
the country. These individuals come from all walks of life. They are bound by faith
in a God who sent His son to die on a cross for us. They also have a common faith in a God who can use a small college in Benoni, South Africa to transform a
continent.
But the most inspiring partnerships that we noticed were those with South African churches and individuals. When we started working with SABC, 30% of the funds for the college were given by people in South Africa, a country with approximately 50% unemployment. This work is important to Christians in Southern Africa. They believe it is vital to reaching the lost of that area.
Southern Africa Bible College keeps great company!
