Southern Africa Bible College students are our greatest asset. For 48 years students have come from all over the world to learn at the Bible College. In fact, they have come from over 30 countries including, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, al- most all the countries of Africa, and the United States. They come for the high quality of education and the reputation of our faculty.
The number one qualification our students must have is the recommendation of their home congregation. They must be a Christian of high moral conduct who displays a heart for God and a desire to serve.
One such student is Geoffery Kirima. Geoff learned about SABC while in his home country of Kenya. He worked guid- ing American mission groups in that country, but decided he didn’t want to leave it up to the Americans to do all the work. He felt the responsibility to do more. He knew he needed more training so he traveled 2,500 miles to study in Benoni, South Africa.
Geoff left during his third year due to family illness back home but, as he says, “My studies at SABC were worth it. They equipped me better for the Lord’s service.”
In a recent report on his work, Geoff shares all he is doing. He is based in Meru, Kenya and works with the Meru School of Theology. There, he trains preachers and church leaders. Over the last year he baptized 134 souls, planted three churches, encouraged several other congrega- tions, made calls for World Bible School, and conducted VBS programs at 20 congregations with the help of American mission teams.
The Choctaw Church of Christ in Choctaw, Oklahoma serves as Geoff’s
overseeing congregation. Mike Mazzalongo, mission contact, says of Geoff, “Geoff is a persistent and dedi- cated Christian. Before SABC he had zeal without training. Now he has the ability and confidence to preach the Gospel.”
Geoff is just one of many SABC alums doing good work. In the last 48 years we have had over 1,400 attendees who have served in over 40 countries. This type of impact could not be made without dedicated students, faculty and supporters. Thank you for partnering with us to equip these students.
